RTI is awful and so is the help desk.

It has been nearly 1 month since I have uploaded the new RTI data and HMRC have still not resolved the issue I am having.

My employees are due their salaries for Month 2 in 4 days time and I am now unable to calculate their deductions because my issue is still not resolved! It is ridiculous!

SA Mathieson, have you read the verdict of four of the UK's top IT professors on the Government Digital Strategy? They've slaughtered it. You and Mr Bicknell are going to need 10 new supplements in the Guardian to cover the aftermath.

“The plans for ID cards MkII are already being implemented in the UK under the name of “identity assurance” and we must all look forward to Mr Mathieson’s sequel in which he recounts the failure of that scheme, too” – that’s what someone says in their review of Card Declined and I happen to know that he’s sticking to it.

Someone also says “… Which leaves us, the public, with few institutions to defend our privacy and our freedoms. We depend on a strong and outspoken media. On journalists. Like Mr Mathieson”, to which he would now like to add David Bicknell and Tony Collins. Let’s hope that SA Mathieson is wrong about the decline of these journalists.

Don’t be impatient. Give it time. G-Cloud promises to be a national IT failure.

So does IDAP, the identity assurance programme.

And Individual Electoral Registration.

And the census.

And midata.

And there’s more copy yet to come from biometrics.

And where is the replacement for the Government Gateway?
